I'm sure the developers are very intelligent and hard-working people. But this really needs to be 100% reliable or it's useless. Can I use this product infront of a client to transfer and edit I did for them to FCX? Absolutely no way whatsoever.
You should read through the accompanying information and see what will be translated and what will not. Still images do not spread out over the time that you had them in FCP7 and text generated in FCP7 will not be translated, but the text does arrive using the most basic of the Motion templates provided in FCPX. This is very useful.

This programme did the job of getting projects across along with the source media, it kept everything in the correct order on the project timeline too. However, it didn't manage to bring across colour correction, text effects, movements such as pan across a photo and a few other things. It basically meant spending time correcting these issues so the project was back to its original form. So it gets your projects across but not perfectly. We're still glad we purchased it, one project took 2+ hours to render in FCP7 took roughly 5-15 minutes in FCPX.
